ABC airs 2 hour documentary “Earth 2100” tonight

Tonight (June 2, 2009), viewers will get a wake up call to take better care of our earth during the 2 hour documentary “Earth 2100” airing on ABC.  A character named Lucy will narrate the story of her 100 years of life in a culture where consumption trumps preservation leading to shortages in our natural resources and population decline.  Who knows what the future really holds, but this documentary depicted in 2 dimensional cartoon images and 3 dimensional live images accompanied by video commentary presents a real bordering on surreal representation of our life in less than a century.  The documentary does present an alternative perspective at the end of the year 2100 if we take appropriate steps to preserve our environment.
