Human Rights Watch makes it easy for you to take action
In my sea of net surfing today, I came across the Human Rights Watch homepage. What I like about this organization is if you click the “Take Action” section of the homepage, you can pick a cause and they have pre-scripted emails for you to email your senator about a particular human rights issue such as ending violence against women.
So many of us think about things, debate amongst our friends, and rarely go the extra step to take action. I’m dedicating this post to those of you who fit in this category. It’s easy to do and at least you feel you have done your part. Think about how much more credibility you carry when you discuss and debate once you’ve done something.

I created a new category called “Dean’s List” and you’ll find a link to this site there.
From the Human Rights Watch “About Us” page…
Human Rights Watch is one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights. By focusing international attention where human rights are violated, we give voice to the oppressed and hold oppressors accountable for their crimes. Our rigorous, objective investigations and strategic, targeted advocacy build intense pressure for action and raise the cost of human rights abuse. For 30 years, Human Rights Watch has worked tenaciously to lay the legal and moral groundwork for deep-rooted change and has fought to bring greater justice and security to people around the world.
