Alas! A natural hair care salon in oHIo: A II Z Naturals

The products used at A II Z Naturals Ltd include, but are not limited to: Avalon Organics, Organic Root Stimulator, Carol’s Daughter, Aveda, Burts Bees, GNLD, His and Her hair Goods, and Madina Essential Oils and African Shea Butter. We will sell human and synthetic hair products and some supplies to provide the highest quality products using ingredients that will never compromise the health of our clients’ hair. We are committed to delivering these products, training, and services in a clean and professional environment.

I would like to submit a question for the interview. For those of us who were misguided in our youth and had the misfortune of having S-curl accidents… How do we regain consistent hair texture. Some of the hair is straight, some hair is nappy which makes it difficult to lock properly….and bees wax dont help none.

@SolidMastery: I don’t think your range of hair textures is from your years in an S-curl, but it’s entertaining to think so. You, like the rest of black america, just have a kitchen! 🙂 You pose a good question. When I first cut my hair to go natural and it was much shorter than today, I used to go crazy trying to get my hair to look the same all over because you could see where the naps had different textures. It just made it hard to style.

Duly noted. I’m sure you can lock and once it’s going, you won’t notice the difference. If white boy Jason Castro from American Idol can rock dreadlocks then there has to be a way. We’ll see what the folks at A II Z Naturals have to say.

To answer the S-curl/Loc question, Solidmastery should stay away from any chemical products that alter the natural state. Pressing and using hot irons will also straighten the natural curl pattern so you will want to stay away from those practices also. Once you do this, you will notice your natural hair pattern growing in, and at the point where the natural meets the processed (line of Demarkation)the hair should be trimmed. Also try using Organic Root Stimulator loc n Twist gel for your locs. Its a light gel that doesn’t flake or build up. Beeswax is sticky and leaves residue on the locs, avoid all products with beeswax.

Aziza did my hair before the 5 days before I went out of town. My twists came a loose 2 days after she claimed she knew what she was doing. She was 2 hours late and had girl there that was trying to wash out the henna in my hair, after I asked what type of shampoo she was using on my hair. This place was very unprofessional. She had 4 people waiting for service while she looked at pictures on her ipad. She clearly thinks her services are so valuable that she doesn’t have to put the customer first. Only her over enflated ego. At first I could let her unprofessionalism go after she did my hair because it did look nice. But her work did not last 2 days and after the twist came a loose in the back there was dried blood on the bobby pins because she would take her time and do it right. She rushed the whole time to make up for her being late and looking at pictures on her ipad. I will report on her everytime I get the chance because she acted as if this is how she usually handles her customers. This is terrible service.

I will never go to Aziza again. She was almost 2 hours late and the woman she had to shampoo my hair did not know what henna was and wanted to try to shampoo it out. That’s scary for a hairdresser not know what is one of the orginal hair dyes ever created. My hair came a loose 2 days after she did it. I repeatedly asked if she could do a certain type of twist. I emailed her this picture and she never email me back. Why advertise on the internet if your not going to maintain website. Very unprofessional and very rude. She was more buzy with her ipad than the 4 customers she had waiting on her. Even the white hairdressers said she was always late. Way to go to grow your business Aziza.
