Estelle honors Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy in ‘Conqueror’ tribute video
I didn’t realize that it wasn’t until the year 2000 that all states officially observed civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday; 17 years after President Ronald Reagan signed the bill making it a federal holiday. Now, each year on the third Monday in January, the nation observes Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday. In 1994, President Bill Clinton signed the bill making King’s birthday a day of service, aka MLK Day.
Estelle released a special tribute video today to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy set to her inspirational single entitled “Conqueror.” The single and original video were released in July 2014, and the single will be included on her upcoming fourth studio album “True Romance” due out February 17.
