Affrodite’s own Black in America Series- coming soon!

I’ve been on the fence about posting anything about CNN’s Black in America series.  It’s mainly because I hadn’t watched it, however, I see that I and many other black people did not watch it either.  So who did see it?  I caught snippets of it, but it kept ending in me turning off my tv in a rage about here we go again with stories about single mothers and welfare babies and deadbeat baby daddies.  I know, to CNN’s credit, there were positive stories, too, but they seem watered down and overshadowed by the things we already see all over tv.

That’s why right here, right now, I am announcing that I, Affrodite, will be publishing my own Black in America series on this blog.  I want to shed a spotlight on the Black America that we often don’t see on tv.  The non slam dunkin’, hip hop video vixen, fast running Black America.
