Trinidad and Tobago overtakes Jamaica as murder capital of the Caribbean

SPEYSIDE, Tobago — With a steady rise in violent crime including an alarming increase in homicides, Trinidad and Tobago has overtaken Jamaica as the “murder capital of the Caribbean”.

While homicides increased two percent in Jamaica in 2008, murders were up a staggering 38 percent in Trinidad and Tobago.

this is really sad. i love T&T. although they do have random spikes in crime. for example, i hear a number of their skyscrapers downtown were built with drug money. well hey at least they put that money to use. anyhoot T&T is the bomb!

the negroes in trinidad are very crooked and cannot solve any murder case. look atamerica where there is black mayor the city is overwhelmed with crime, america will fall to a third world nation status , look who is president, blacks all, have bad credit , they cannot balance their check books , i am sorry for t & t the murder capital of the world

Just because you come a family that is no good and can’t buy gum on credit, doesnt mean that the rest of the black population is the same. HOW DARE YOU? Don’t be sorry for T&T becase the aren’t sorry for you. YOu should be uplifting the black race and all of that the people as a whole have overcome. Its people like you that will never make it in the world and will always stay bitter.

I have been to Jamaica 13 times and have allways had a good time,my. Pareants were born in Jamaica.I was thinking of going port of Spain in trinadad is it more dangerous than Jamaica?I
