Why I love my curls

I am the daughter of a hairdresser. My childhood was spent in The Shop. Saturday mornings. Listening to R&B and funk, town gossip and smelling heads frying.

Moms moved away when I was in college. I was broke & faced with a decision: Borrow money to get a relaxer or cut it. A haircut and a bottle of moose was less than $15.

I went natural & simultaneously found myself. I have big sexy unruly curly Jersey hair that epitomizes who I am. I am larger than life. I am sexy. I am unruly with passion. My curls awaken my spirit every morning & I love them for that.
